In Maths today students have been learning to compare the length of objects. We used play dough to make long and short worms. Everyone got a ball of play dough and were asked to make a worm. Students then described their worm (eg. My worm is long, My worm is fat, My worm is tiny).

Biscuit Making
Our students had a great experience by baking a special batch of biscuits today. They all had a chance to put some of the ingredients in the bowls.
This fun activity also encouraged teamwork and developed patience... as students had to wait for the biscuits to cook!
Thank you to Whaea Kate for sharing her baking skills and to Whaea Halei who catered for the gluten free student in our class.
Students learned about measurement and division (each got a big ball, which they had to split into four equal parts).

Making our own Pizzas
One of the many things our students learned in Maths this term was about 'Shapes'. Today students made their own little pizzas... Thank you so much to Halei Aarsen who kindly donated all the 'ingredients'. We all had so much fun!
We had to ask Mr Taylor to help us set the oven...!
Cooked pizzas...
Yummy!!
Mr Taylor got a pizza too!
