We had two great days with Harold and Michelle learning about 'Feelings' and what 'Team work' is about.
In our 'Feelings' session, students learned:
- it is o.k. to have all the feelings: happy, sad, angry, scared, shy (feelings are a choice)
- how they can change a negative feeling (one that doesn't help them) into a positive feeling (one that helps them more)
- they can make a difference and make our world a better place and people kinder to each other
In our 'Team work' session students discussed what a team is
Students learned that as a team member who works well with others, they will...
- be fair
- ask questions
- do my part to get the task done
- have fun
- listen to the ideas of others
- take part
- encourage each other
- co-operate
- be kind
- take turns
'Relating to Others', one of our Key Competencies and Our Virtues of 'Respect', 'Friendliness' and 'Kindness' was also supported by the messages.
