Room 4 and I would like to thank all of the parents for the support this term.  We really appreciate your involvement in all of our activities. We are looking forward to have you on board with us again in Term 4. Have a happy and safe holiday.

Class Musical: 'Save the Earth'

We have been working very hard on our Class Musical this term. This was a challenge to us, as we had to learn 5 songs with moves to perform to an audience in the last week of term 3.  

We had some characters ('the Earth', 'a doctor', and 'a girl') to support our message of 'Save the Earth' through our songs.   These students had to learn their script on top of all the songs and moves.

There were many days that we were really tired as we also had to cope with all our other learning areas as well.

In spite of all the hard work in this very busy term, we really enjoyed this experience and Ms van der Spuy was very, very proud of us. She said we were stars!

Kidsedchatnz - Tweet of the Week 1

Wow kidsedchatnz is fun! Yesterday, the topic was about teachers.  We were tweeting and also wrote down some of our ideas about our teacher in co-operative groups.  We really enjoyed our conversations with other classes and with Stephen, the organiser of kidsedchatnz.

Fractions - half of an object

Basic Facts

In maths today, we were practising our basic facts.  Huia was the 'teacher' and she got us to give the answers together as a class and then she asked each one of us to answer it on our own.
That was lots of fun!

Skipping

We had a wonderful time, practising our skipping skills to participate in Jump Rope 4 Heart.
On the day of the Jump Rope 4 Heart Skip-a-thon, we skipped on the Jump Rope 4 Heart Music CD.  That was fun!
