Chickens visiting our class

Cyanalee's dad brought some chickens to school. We could hold them if we wanted to. They were so cute and soft!

We can find shapes everywhere!

We are learning about shapes. We had to find shapes in our class and then we had to go outside to see if we can find some more on our playground. Each of us had to take a photo of a shape. For our song in Māori, we even found shapes in the PE shed.  Shapes are everywhere!

As part of Māori language week, we also learnt to sing this shape song in Māori. Pai Rawa!

A lovely afternoon

Our teacher had a meeting after lunch and Mr Taylor, our principal, came into our class.  He helped us with our writing.  Afterwards, he read us stories. We had a lovely afternoon. Thank you Mr Taylor!

Be safe around electricity

Two people from Unison came to talk to us. They told us how dangerous electricity can be.  We should not play close to the boxes or even on them. We will take care around electricity.

They showed us a video of what can happen if there's a fire at a box. It looks scary.
