Swimming with Room 4

This week we had Buddy Swimming with Room 4.
We got into pairs, a Room 1 buddy with a Room 4 buddy.

We had lots of fun!!

Policeman Visit

23 November 2010

Today we had a visit from a policeman. He told us about being safe and to contact the police in case of an emergency.

We were told to always wear our seatbelts. It was interesting to hear all about police work and what they do to keep us safe.

We enjoyed this visit very much. Thank you Nick, for sparing time to talk to us.

Grashopper Tennis

Room 1 had a great time over the last three days learning about Grasshopper Tennis with Moira Peters from the Taupo Tennis Club.
We are thankful for this opportunity provided to us, to kindle a love of, and interest in, sport.

Some of us showed a real talent and we might just see some of
Room 1's stars on Wimbledon in the future!

We participated with personal commitment and team spirit! We enjoyed doing all the events: Track, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Tennis Ball Throw, Discus & Quoits.

The Tug O' War was, as usual, a very enjoyable event where we competed in our house groups.

Powhiri

Matua Grant and Whaea Martha came into our school and helped us with our Powhiri practices.

The whole school went outside to learn the different waiata and karakia and the Kapa Haka group helped us all with the words and actions.
