We are learning how to type. We use an activity from our Class Wiki to help us with practicing our keyboarding skills.

Swimming fun

We love using our swimming noodles and flutter boards in our pool.  We could choose how we want to use them.

In Part 1 we have Thomas, Finlay, Griffin, Brooke, Olivia, Henessey and Kimberly.


In Part 2 we have Zara, Sienna, Anthony, Rome, Huia, Tyler and Bradey.

Read to Someone

We are learning to Read to Someone.  To do this we sit EEKK, get started right away,  use a soft voice, stay in one spot, read the whole time and check for understanding.

Running, Throwing & Catching

In our Leg it programme, we have been learning about the stance for running, throwing & catching.

In Running we had to position ourselves to start running.  We had to keep our head still and ran in a straight line.  We also practiced our reaction time by having to chase the person in front of us.

In Throwing & Catching one hand had to be out, pointing to the direction in which we will be throwing, with our feet facing away.
Then we had to throw a toy into the air and catch it again.  We had to watch it the whole time.  At the end we threw the toy to our buddy, using two hands.  We had to watch closely and move our feet if we had to, to be able to catch the toy.

What are the Learning Centre for?

Every Monday we visit our Learning Centre (library), where Tracey teach us how we can use it.  We learned that we can read stories and also look at picture books or even use the computers to find things out.
