Our Life Theme / Big Idea in Term 1 (2010) will be about:
The 3 R's (Rights, Responsibilities and Rules)
Our first Virtue focus will be on: Respect
R - Respect for family and other people
E - Equity (justice) for everyone
S - Say Sorry, Please and Thank you
P - People deserve Respect
E - Ensure that everyone's rights are respected
C - Carry respect into all of your life
T - Take time to respect yourself
Somewhere in the future, we will also be looking at creating a "My e-Portfolio" on KnowledgeNET.
What is an "e-Portfolio" ?
* This is where you can share what you know or can do,
a personal space where you can publish evidence of your work online.
* You can reflect on your learning experiences and develop
critical thinking skills.
* An e-portfolio can be a showcase/samples of your work and can have in it:
text, images, links, PowerPoint Presentations, digital photographs, etc.
* You decide when and what items are posted about your
learning process and progress made.
* It will be about your choices, reasons, motivations and learning context.
* e-portfolio offers an overview of you skills and knowledge.
* You will develop an awareness about your achievement compared
to others.
* You will be in charge of your learning.
(WOW!! This all sounds very exciting and I am sure we will have lots of fun!)
